What's Memphis' favorite dinner spot?
Memphis Business Journal surveyed print and email subscribers over a two-week period in November to find out their views about Memphis Favorites.
The survey consisted of 20 open-ended questions covering a variety of aspects of life in Memphis, including Favorite Memphis Building and Favorite Memphis Clothing Store, among others.
Tuesday, we began revealing the first of the Favorites and earlier today, we reveled Memphis' favorite Grizzlies' player. Now, here is Memphis' favorite restaurant for dinner.
It was a tight race for the top spot in our survey, but Restaurant Iris emerged as the winner.
Chef and owner of Restaurant Iris, Kelly English, is one of the most acclaimed chefs in town. In 2009, Food & Wine Magazine named him “Best New Chef,” and in 2010, English was named a James Beard Award Semifinalist for "Best Chef in the Southeast” and earned the Memphis Restaurant Association’s “Restaurateur of the Year” award.
And just last month, English was named as one of MBJ's Top 40 Under 40 honorees.
